# Private transfer

## Private transfer

A private transfer spends shielded UTXOs and creates new shielded UTXOs.

The transfer keeps value inside the shielded pool.

### Steps

1. Open the private transfer flow.
2. Select the shielded balance to spend.
3. Enter the recipient's private destination.
4. Confirm the amount.
5. Generate and submit the transfer proof.

### What changes on-chain

```
Inputs: existing commitments
Outputs: new commitments
Verification: transfer verifier contract
Result: shielded state update
```

### Notes

* Recipient handling depends on the destination format used in the app.
* A transfer does not expose the full private state.
* Final settlement still uses Ethereum transactions.

### Next Steps

* Read **0zk address**.
* Review **Unshield assets**.
* Check the **FAQ**.
