# Proof validity

## Proof validity

An Okkult Proof remains valid for `30 days`.

After that window, generate a new proof.

### Rules

* Validity starts when proof generation succeeds.
* Expired proofs should not be reused.
* Renewal requires the standard proof fee.

### Operational guidance

```
Validity window: 30 days
Renewal fee: 0.001 ETH
Renewal method: Generate a new proof
```

### Best practice

Regenerate before starting a time-sensitive flow if the proof is near expiry.

### Next Steps

* Generate a proof.
* Use the proof in Shield or app integrations.
* Review the **FAQ**.
