# How it works

## How it works

Okkult ID separates credential issuance from proof of possession.

The holder later proves selected claims with zero-knowledge methods.

### Flow

1. An issuer creates a credential.
2. The holder receives and stores it.
3. A verifier requests a claim proof.
4. The holder generates the proof.
5. The verifier checks the result.

### Design notes

* The verifier does not need the full credential.
* The holder reveals only the required claim.
* The proving step fits privacy-first application flows.

### Next Steps

* Review **Identity claims**.
* Learn **Issue credential**.
* Learn **Prove identity**.
