# Smart contracts

## Smart contracts

Okkult uses Solidity `0.8.20` contracts with OpenZeppelin `v5`.

The protocol separates the shielded pool, verifier contracts, and integration adapters.

### Main contracts

| Contract           | Purpose                                            |
| ------------------ | -------------------------------------------------- |
| `OkkultShield v4`  | Main shielded pool contract                        |
| `ShieldVerifier`   | Verifies shielding proofs                          |
| `UnshieldVerifier` | Verifies withdrawal proofs                         |
| `TransferVerifier` | Verifies private transfer proofs                   |
| `RailgunAdapter`   | Connects Okkult Shield to Railgun-compatible flows |

### Operational addresses

| Role               | Purpose                                      |
| ------------------ | -------------------------------------------- |
| `Relay / Treasury` | Receives treasury and relay funds on mainnet |

### Notes

Use the deployed address list for production mainnet addresses and ENS names.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.okkult.io/developers/smart-contracts.md?ask=<question>
```

The question should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
